DOOM: THE DARK AGES RELEASE DATE LEAKED - MEDIEVAL DEMON SLAYING ARRIVES THIS MAY
A now-deleted article from French gaming website Gamekult has apparently spilled the unholy beans about DOOM: The Dark Ages' release date, claiming our medieval demon-slaying adventure will kick off on May 15th, 2025.
WHAT WE KNOW
The leaked article, which was quickly taken down faster than a demon facing the business end of a crossbow, mentioned the release date announcement would be part of today's Xbox Developer_Direct showcase. The original French text promised that the game "will decimate the infernal legions" starting May 15th.
While id Software has been relatively quiet about The Dark Ages since its initial reveal, this medieval take on the DOOM formula has been generating serious buzz. Trading in the BFG for a battle axe and swapping space marines for knights sounds exactly like the kind of crazy idea that could actually work (ESPECIALLY IF WE GET TO RIP AND TEAR WITH A MORNING STAR).
THE WAITING GAME
Of course, until we get official confirmation from Bethesda or id Software, take this leak with a little salt. The May 15th date certainly seems plausible given the game's previously announced 2025 release window, but we'll have to wait for the Developer_Direct to see if this leak holds water or evaporates like holy water on hellspawn.
