Amazon Games partners with NCSoft to bring the MMORPG Throne and Liberty to the West and Japan

Amazon Games has revealed that it will publish Throne and Liberty the upcoming MMORPG from NCSoft, in the West and Japan.

Although a release date was not given, the game is in development for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S, and will support cross-play between all the platforms.

Originally, Throne and Liberty was called Lineage Eternal, a sequel to Lineage, but the game was later renamed to its current title. Throne and Liberty's giant game world is full of constantly changing geographical and environment-related features, where players can transform into animals and soar through the skies or explore the deepest seas.

Players will be able to trigger powerful environmental effects such as solar eclipses and rain storms, allowing them to bend battles to their will. The game is sure to appeal to fans of MMORPGs looking for something fresh and innovative.

Some gamers might be worried as Amazon doesn’t have a completely clean slate as it is still navigating its path with New World and has experienced some problems throughout the past months.

However, Amazon has brought another Korean MMORPG, Lost Ark, to the Western market relatively successfully, making the upcoming release of Throne and Liberty the company's second major Korean MMO title, making us confident that they have the needed experience.
